User manual
Assemble the kit
Seat the CM5 module on the IO board's two connectors, fit the passive cooler, and mount the board in the IO case. Hand-tight screws only — the whole assembly takes about ten minutes with a small Phillips screwdriver.
Flash the Tron Gateway software
Your order confirmation includes a link to the Tron Gateway software image and step-by-step flashing instructions for the CM5's eMMC storage.
Connect and power up
Plug Ethernet into your controls network (or the building LAN that reaches it) and power the gateway with the included 27W USB-C supply.
Log in and discover
Browse to the gateway's address, create the admin account, and open the BACnet and Network tabs. Automated discovery and mapping make a first pass at onboarding the building's controls for read-only use — packet capture is passive, so nothing the gateway does adds traffic to the BAS network.
Choose where the data goes
Pass data to our cloud-based Maintenance Station with a few clicks — or run standalone: the gateway is a web server with a Haystack API, and can send data via MQTT or CSV to any other system.
The Tron Gateway Kit is supplied as a kit of parts for the customer to assemble. It is not intended for use in critical, life-safety, or other high-risk applications.
